Who perform Foley catheter flushing procedure?
A doctor, nurse, or any trained health prudence provider can perform the flushing of Foley catheter. Depending on the gift of the outpatients, they (or the guardian) may be given due teachings and instructions to do it by themselves. Whoever does it, sterile technique should be on top of the priorities when doing the procedure.
Where I live, the nurses hold to do that job.
