Medicine is a competitive course to get into. Your age is irrelevant, however. Check the criteria for entry into the medical course from your local university websites.
So long as you hold the pre-reqs and have taken the MCAT, you can apply. Plus, you own to have a bachelor's scope to matriculate into medical school.
I go to medical school beside several people over the age 40.
The responses so far hold been nearly the USA and from what I gather you are contained by UK, so I'll talk roughly that system.
The official policy of the medical school is that they will not discriminate on age (as long as you are over 18), but the applicant has to twig the amount of time spent studying and how near to retirement they would by the time they finally work (the NHS doesn't want to spend lb250 000 on training you singular to have you work for a few years).
The righteous news is that you can jump on a fast-track course for graduate entry at many university that is single 4 years long. However you will need to enjoy a degree surrounded by something like Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy etc. But abundantly of graduates travel on the conventional 5 year course.
The best thing to do would be to email the medical school and ask them about it. But if you want to apply to start contained by September 2008 then you involve to hurry up and register with UCAS, cause your choices, write a personal statement, and get a quotation, all previously 15 October 2007.
